As working parents of young children
with out-of-state parents in their 80s, we
understand the need for family support.
We strive to be that friendly neighborhood
assistance that feels like extended family.
Our employees are active older adults and
they provide compassionate non-medical help
that includes: companionship, 24 hour help,
transportation, light housekeeping, meal
preparation, gardening, handyman services,
and the like. Because we hire seniors to help,
a wonderful rapport is formed.
We work hard to earn our clients’ trust and
satisfaction and strive always to preserve it.
We communicate as much as needed to ensure
a smooth experience. We are members of the
Metro North Alzheimer’s Partnership and are
committed to training our employees with the
Alzheimer’s Association’s “Caring for People
with Alzheimer’s Disease: A Habilitation
Curriculum”.
We have met many wonderful people and it
is our passion to employ and serve them.

Our retail journey began in 1995 when we left
our corporate jobs and opened the original Sense of
Wonder in downtown Reading. We feature unique
merchandise purchased directly from artists and
craftspeople.
2013 finds us with two retail stores. Today we
happily greet many old friends in Reading, welcome
former North Andover customers to Andover, and
meet new supporters in both places. It’s all good—a
vibrant community of customers, friends, and retail
neighbors.
We enjoy this business. From helping to select just
the right jewelry for a special occasion, to suggesting
a range of unusual pieces for the person who has
everything, to carefully gift wrapping purchases, we
delight in sharing our discoveries with customers
who appreciate excellent craftsmanship, good
value, and personalized service.
