James J. Dwyer has proudly served for the
past four years as State Representative for
Woburn and Reading. A resident of Woburn, he
has served on the Woburn Housing Authority
and was a member of the Woburn City Council
from before being elected State Representative.
During his professional career, Rep. Dwyer served
over 34 years in the Middlesex Juvenile Court as a
Juvenile Probation Officer working with children
and families. Jim and his wife, Mary Ellen Dwyer,
have been married for 37 years. They have two
daughters: Shannon, who is married to Dan Ryan,
and Kara, who is married to John Conti. Jim and
Mary Ellen are also the proud grandparents of
Kaleigh and Jameson Ryan and Bradley Conti.
Rep. Dwyer co-hosts the annual Thanksgiving
dinner for seniors of Reading with Rep. Brad
Jones and works closely on issues important to
EMARC.
